March 10, 2019 (Houston, Texas) - Opportunity Expo affectionately called #OppEx is a dynamic career development event that will combine #employment recruitment, panel discussions, intimate #workshop and networking.
The OPP EX welcomed Mayor Sylvester Turner with major applauds as he walked to the stage to provide opening remarks to the expo attendees. Mayor Turner starts off by thanking Radio One for conducting such a vital expo to the community.
This expo speaks volume to me because its about taking people to the next level in their lives/career and it doesn't matter how old or young you may be, today this expo is making that possible!

The mayor encourages individuals to not only focus on obtaining a job but understanding how vital health & wellness is to our community. Mentally being healthy so you can do your assigned job at 100% (one hundred percent) and assist others accordingly.

As the mayor continued to encourage the entire expo with life experienced stories to gained knowledge and wisdom. Before his closing statement the Mayor couldn't express more - Get after what you want! Stop making excuses and figure it out, the other race will not beat themselves out of a job. Stop beating yourself and become more pro-active!
This Expo event was FREE to the public held at the George R. Brown Convention Center with doors opening as early as 7 a.m. on the 3rd floor ballroom. Don't miss another high caliber event in Houston, Texas - Get out and network!
